Aēsop's Queer Library pop-up to return to London
The Aēsop Queer Library will return to London from 29 June to 2 July, celebrating "the power of queer storytelling and its ability to broaden minds, embolden individuals and unite the community and its allies".
To mark its third iteration of Queer Library in London, Aēsop will explore the theme of 'Literature, lost and found'.
Described by the brand, the theme aims to bring the queer literature lost to cultural shifts and inequality to new audiences, through accessibility and availability.
The Queer Library will return to Aēsop's store in Soho, where visitors can access all the literature and texts, as well as various panel discussions throughout the weekend. The brand's Piccadilly store will also have window installations to celebrate the activation.
Shelves will be stocked with titles by LGBTQIA+ authors. Guided by the recommendations of Aēsop’s bibliophiles and its literary partners, visitors will be invited to collect a complimentary book of their choice, with no purchase required.
Aēsop will also be producing a themed bookmark, which will be gifted with all books in the library.
The pop-up's partners include A Vibe Called Tech to uncover rare, historic queer texts, alongside Gay’s The Word, 14 Poems and Cipher Press to allow new audiences to discover queer literature through novels, essays, audio and poetry.
