AKT London launches crowdfunding campaign to "take brand to the next level"

Natural, plastic-free deodorant brand AKT London is launching a crowdfunding campaign to drive its US expansion.

The brand hopes to raise £800,000 via crowdfunding platform Seedrs, with plans to expand into the US – particularly for New York’s Broadway community – and develop new products.

Other projects include reducing lead times for stock production, reducing costs and improving efficiency across fulfilment operations, website optimisation for conversion rate, and various brand activations.

AKT London was launched in 2020 by Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, who created the brand after mainstream deodorants failed to meet their needs whilst performing in London’s West End.

Designed with efficacy, environmental ethics and premium fragrances, the brand's formulations are made in the UK and housed in plastic-free packaging.

With over 10,000 orders per month, AKT London has doubled in growth over the past six months with a £2 million+ run-rate.

To boost this growth further, the business is now launching the crowdfunding campaign to "take the brand to the next level".
