Angel Central welcomes Therapié Clinic after 'record-breaking' footfall in Q1

Aesthetics provider Therapié Clinic has opened its first location in Islington at Angel Central, as the retail and leisure destination celebrates a "strong" first quarter.

The London-based centre has reported "record-breaking" footfall, as well as an increase in sales compared to last year, underlining its growing appeal among both retailers and visitors.

Sustaining Angel Central’s success, Therapié Clinic has opened its 2,172 sq ft facility at the destination, joining other wellbeing brands such as Holland & Barrett and Rituals.

Established over 20 years ago, Thérapie Clinic operates more than 75 clinics across the UK, Ireland and the US.

It offers a range of aesthetic treatments and services, including laser hair removal and anti-wrinkle injections.

Phillip McGlade, Chief Executive Officer at Therapié Clinic, said: "Angel Central is a community-led destination that delivers the best environment for its visitors.

The opening of Therapié Clinic comes after Angel Central’s sales increased 12.4% in the first quarter of 2025, highlighting the success of existing brands alongside new arrivals such as Mango, Oliver Bonas, and Kiko Milano.

Footfall was also up by 8.4%, driven by an "active approach to facilitating on-site events and supporting its community".

Last month, Thérapie Clinic hosted three flash mobs around Central London in celebration of its new laser hair removal campaign.

Promoting the tagline 'Your Bush, Your Rules', the flash mobs kicked off at the Piccadilly Circus fountain, later performing outside Tottenham Court Road station and Stratford station.
