Anya Hindmarch has teamed up with Boots on a limited-time beauty concept store and co-created essentials range, bringing a dose of humour and heritage to The Village on London’s Pont Street.

Running from 10 January to 8 March, the Anya Hindmarch x Boots installation takes over The Village Hall with a 1970s-inspired concept celebrating Boots’ pharmacy roots and long-standing place in British culture. Drawing directly from the retailer’s archives, the space reimagines the look and feel of historic Boots stores, complete with apothecary-style fixtures, retro tiling, white-coated dispensary references and a curated display of vintage artefacts.

At the centre of the collaboration is a limited-edition range of everyday bathroom essentials, priced between £5 and £10, combining Boots’ trusted formulations with designer Hindmarch’s instantly recognisable eyes motif. Created to bring "a little joy to the bathroom", the range reflects the growing appetite for accessible, design-led beauty products that blur the line between practicality and play.

Anya Hindmarch said: "This is a truly iconic collaboration for me – Boots is part of the very fabric of the UK. The chance to play with, and ‘Anya-ise’ everyday toiletry essentials has been the most fun project. I hope it will animate bathrooms and bring smiles to people’s mornings in January, when we will all need a lift. Our Village wouldn’t be a Village without a Boots…"

The Boots partnership builds on Hindmarch’s long-running history of working with British retailers. Most notably, her Universal Bag project - which originated with the ‘I’m Not A Plastic Bag’ campaign in 2007 - has seen her collaborate with major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and Selfridges Food Halls.

Within the Boots collaboration, the Universal Bag returns in a limited-edition duo created exclusively for The Village, reworked in Boots’ instantly recognisable blue and white palette. Two wash bags - First Aid and Meds - inspired by antique medical pieces from the Boots archive, are also available, alongside new Anya Brands designs featuring familiar pharmacy staples including Berocca, Advil, BAND-AID Brand, Imperial Leather and Nurofen.

The partnership underscores how heritage brands are increasingly leaning into experiential retail and cultural storytelling, using nostalgia, design and limited-edition products to reconnect with consumers beyond the traditional shop floor.

Sophie Clapp, Head of Archives at Boots, said: "Boots first opened its doors as a herbalist store in Nottingham in 1849. Over the past 177 years, it has been an integral part of British culture, shaping how people access health and beauty products and services. From humble beginnings, Boots has grown into a British high-street institution and a trusted household name, yet our mission to care for customers and communities remains unchanged. I’m excited to celebrate this rich heritage through Anya Hindmarch’s unique and joyful vision."

Following the in-store activation, the Anya Hindmarch x Boots everyday essentials collection will be available exclusively online at boots.com from 8 March 2026 for a limited time. The large Universal Bag will also be available in selected Boots stores and online from the same date, while stocks last.
