Armani Beauty has appointed Richard Pinabel as Global President, replacing Véronique Gautier, who stepped down earlier this week.

Pinabel joins Armani Beauty from Lancôme, another L'Oréal-owned brand, where he most recently served as Deputy General Manager Worldwide for more than two years.

Prior to this, he was General Manager at L'Oréal's Luxe division in Portugal and Yves Saint Laurent Beauté in Japan, as well as Brand President Worldwide at Shu Uemura.

"I am fully confident that Richard Pinabel will be able to preserve and nurture the fantastic heritage and the incredible achievements of the brand, taking Giorgio Armani's vision for beauty to new heights," Cyril Chapuy, President of L'Oréal Luxe told WWD.

It follows the recently announced departure of Véronique Gautier, who has stepped down after more than 13 years in the role.

Gautier joined the L'Oréal-owned brand in 2010 from Jean Paul Gaultier, where she served as Chair and President for two years.

"I feel privileged to have driven such iconic brands and talented people in executive functions in the luxury business, and today I am looking forward to this exciting chapter ahead, saying Sì to new beginnings. Ready to give back, mentor, and invest in this industry that I treasure," said Gautier in a post on LinkedIn.
