Armani Beauty names K-pop star Hanni as Global Makeup Ambassador
Luxury brand Armani Beauty has named K-pop star Hanni as its new Global Makeup Ambassador.
Hanni is part of South Korean girl group NewJeans. The group was formed by Ador, a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation, in 2022.
In a post on Armani Beauty's Instagram, Hanni was pictured wearing the My Armani To Go Cushion foundation in shade 2 and Lip Maestro Lacquer in shade 214.
Commenting on the partnership, Giorgio Armani said: "Hanni is a very young artist with a great expressive power and an irresistible and captivating individuality: a contrast that I find interesting. She has personality, which for me is the most fascinating trait, always."
The partnership comes after Hanni was appointed as brand ambassador for Gucci in 2022. Last month, Dior and Valentino also named K-pop stars as fashion brand ambassadors, signalling South Korea's growing importance to the world's luxury houses.
Hanni joins Armani Beauty alongside a number of brand ambassadors including Regé-Jean Page, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jackson Yee and Nicholas Hoult.
Last month, Sydney Sweeney was named as the ambassador for Armani Beauty’s new fragrance My Way. The luxury brand teased images and videos of Sweeney without revealing her identity days before the official announcement.
