The Estée Lauder Companies has named Hans Dorsinville as the first Creative Director for Balmain Beauty.

Dorsinville joins Balmain Beauty from advertising agency Gotham, where he served as Chief Creative Officer from December 2019.

He is a graduate of New York's Parsons School of Design and began his career in 1993 at Donna Karan. In 2001, Dorsinville joined Laird+Partners as Partner, Executive Vice President and Senior Creative Director. In 2007, he was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Select World.

Dorsinville is also the Founder of the Creative Coalition for Diversity, which works to increase the visibility of diverse creative professionals by supporting initiatives for young people of colour that are essential to career development.

The announcement comes after Balmain and Estée Lauder Companies entered into a license agreement to collaboratively develop, produce and distribute a line of beauty products.

The beauty line is expected to launch in Autumn 2024, with the goal of transforming the luxury beauty industry through "exceptional design, singular craftsmanship and an unyielding commitment to innovation".

At the time, Guillaume Jesel was appointed Global Brand President for Balmain Beauty, Tom Ford Beauty and Luxury Business Development. Shortly after, The Estée Lauder Companies named Nathalie Berger Duquene as Senior Vice President, Global General Manager of Balmain Beauty.
