Beauty brands join 'Celebration of London Fashion Week' programme

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced a 'Celebration of London Fashion Week' programme, taking place from Thursday 6 to Thursday 13 October 2022.

A curated programme of unique experiences, events and promotions, will celebrate creativity in London following a scaled back London Fashion Week (LFW) subsequent to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Spearheaded by inclusivity and consciousness, the programme brings focus to London and moves the fashion conversation forward through industry wide participation and partnerships.

Raf Simons and Roksanda will present their seasonal collections, Prada will celebrate the launch of its new feminine fragrance Paradoxe, Marc Jacobs will open a new store and AnOther Magazine will host a special evening for Björk powered by Gucci.

Richard Quinn will host a celebration of his SS23 collection in partnership with Clearpay, TikTok will host a celebration of BFC NEWGEN following the collections showcased by this years cohort during LFW and TONI&GUY are relaunching their label:m collection with an intimate cocktail party.

The Institute of Positive Fashion will also present an update to its Circular Fashion Ecosystem projects with panel discussions on City Level with Circle Economy, Empowering Citizens for Garment Longevity with Vanish and Solving Returns with DHL.

City Wide Celebration, open to the public, will offer over 450 events throughout the city in renowned shopping destinations including Chelsea (Cadogan Estate), Oxford Street (New West End Company), Covent Garden (CAPCO), and Regent Street (The Crown Estate). Activities include designer Q&A sessions, workshops around Zero-Waste Craftsmanship and upcycling, live music performances and limited edition product drops in partnership with key retailers and designer brands.

Our aim is to engage communities throughout London to get involved with fashion and to showcase the creativity, diversity and openness London is known for. This season will see a fantastic lineup of city-wide events and experiences on schedule driving footfall back into the capital, which will increase revenue opportunities for designer businesses” .
