July brought a series of senior appointments across the beauty industry, including the arrival of new Chief Executives, marketing hires and creative leadership appointments. The month also saw departures from Sephora and Jones Road Beauty, alongside ambassador signings at Armani Beauty, Rare Beauty and Tropic Skincare.

The changes follow June’s leadership moves across Sephora Collection, Harrods and Summer Fridays, as companies continue to reshape their teams around expansion and brand development.

Rabanne appoints Olivier Rousteing as Creative Director

Olivier Rousteing joined Puig-owned Rabanne after 14 years leading Balmain. He succeeds Julien Dossena and will work across the house’s fashion and fragrance identity, with his first pre-fall collection due in November and runway debut scheduled for March 2027.

Prequel

Prequel names Nathalie Kristo CEO and Toral Patel CMO

Dermatologist-developed skincare brand Prequel appointed former Huda Beauty chief Nathalie Kristo as CEO and former Kopari Beauty executive Toral Patel as CMO. The hires followed its first international launch, an exclusive UK debut with Space NK on 14 July.

LVMH

LVMH places Yann Musquin in charge of Givenchy and Kenzo fragrances

Yann Musquin is set to take on the role of Managing Director of LVMH Fragrance Brands on 3 August, overseeing Parfums Givenchy and Kenzo Parfums. The former Dior and Louis Vuitton executive is replacing Romain Spitzer, who is departing LVMH to lead Bottega Veneta.

Bubble recruits Diana Rubin as its first CMO

Gen Z-focused skincare brand Bubble appointed former Sol de Janeiro marketing executive Diana Rubin as its inaugural Chief Marketing Officer. Reporting to founder Shai Eisenman, Rubin will lead marketing as the business remains independent and expands its mass-market presence.

Jones Road Beauty CEO Cody Plofker steps down

Cody Plofker stepped away from day-to-day leadership after more than five years at Jones Road Beauty, including 20 months as CEO. He will remain a board member and adviser while the Bobbi Brown-founded brand searches for an experienced successor.

Bodycare appoints Charles Denton CEO and Executive Chairman

Value beauty retailer Bodycare formalised Charles Denton’s leadership as it rebuilds following its 2024 collapse. The former Molton Brown chief will oversee a rollout targeting 25 stores in 2026, rising to 200 locations within five years.

Liberty expands Laura Simpson’s role across marketing and beauty

Liberty promoted Laura Simpson to Chief Marketing Officer alongside her existing position as Managing Director of LBTY. Simpson, who launched the retailer’s dedicated beauty proposition in 2022, will now lead group-wide brand, marketing and customer strategy.

Coty names Séverine Charbon Chief People and Purpose Officer

Séverine Charbon will join Coty from Publicis Groupe on 1 September, succeeding Priya Srinivasan. Her appointment forms part of a wider organisational reshuffle under Coty.Curated, including changes to oversight of Prestige operations, research and development, sustainability and supply chain.

Sephora Global COO Alexis Rollier leaves for PVH

Alexis Rollier will leave Sephora after 14 years to become Chief Financial Officer at Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger owner PVH in September. Sephora has not announced a successor for Rollier, who spent eight years as its Global Chief Operating Officer.

Marks & Spencer

M&S appoints Jane Robson to sourcing and sustainability role

Marks & Spencer appointed Jane Robson as Director of Sourcing, Quality and Sustainability across fashion, home and beauty, effective in August. The former Vogue Sourcing UK Chief Operating Officer will succeed Monique Leeuwenburgh, who retires in October after seven years with M&S.

DREST hires Julien Dulioust to lead its game business

Luxury styling entertainment platform DREST named Julien Dulioust as General Manager of Game. Reporting to founder and CEO Lucy Yeomans, the former Electronic Arts executive will be responsible for product development, commercial performance and user acquisition.

Armani Beauty signs Eileen Gu as global make-up ambassador

Olympic freeskier Eileen Gu joined Armani Beauty’s global ambassador roster and will appear in campaigns for Lip Maestro and Armani Dolci Makeup Blush. She will represent the brand across elite sport, luxury fashion and the Chinese and US markets.

Rare Beauty selects Ella Bright as its first brand ambassador

Rare Beauty has appointed 19-year-old Off Campus actress Ella Bright as its first brand ambassador, coming six years after launch. Bright fronts the Made You Blush campaign for Soft Pinch Liquid Blush.

Tropic Skincare partners with Alison Hammond

Alison Hammond became Tropic Skincare’s first celebrity collaborator for a campaign focused on skin confidence and naturally derived ingredients. A personalised routine developed with founder Susie Ma will launch as the Alison Edit in August.
