Beauty industry joins forces to support The Ever Appeal's 'Get Lippy' campaign

Throughout May, some of the biggest names in beauty, from Augustinus Bader to  Laura Mercier, are coming together to support The Eve Appeal’s Get Lippy campaign - a nationwide initiative raising awareness of the five gynaecological cancers.

Each and everyday in the UK, 60 women and people with gynaecological organs are diagnosed with one of these cancers - womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval, or vaginal - and 22 lose their lives. Yet awareness remains alarmingly low. Only 3% of people can name all five, and just one in six can name even one.

In an effort to change that, The Eve Appeal is partnering with beauty brands and retailers to raise funds and visibility. From product collaborations to social media campaigns, Get Lippy is using the reach and influence of the beauty industry to put gynaecological health firmly in the spotlight.

Consumers can support by purchasing selected products from brands including Augustinus Bader, Laura Mercier, Elemis, Dr Paw Paw and Weleda to name a few. 10% of proceeds going to The Eve Appeal to fund research into risk prediction and screening to help stop these cancers before they start.

Founding partners CEW UK, Tesco, Harvey Nichols, Centrum and Sure are leading the initiative.

Caroline Hirons, a key campaign supporter, said: "We talk openly about breast health—now we need to do the same for gynaecological health. The Get Lippy campaign highlights what to look out for and encourages people to speak up early. This issue is deeply personal to me, and I’ll keep using my platform to raise awareness."

Athena Lamnisos, CEO of The Eve Appeal, added: “It has never been more important for people to know the symptoms and to feel confident speaking up.

"Get Lippy is about raising awareness and normalising the conversation. Buy a product, share the message, and help save lives."
