Beauty industry pays tribute after death of Dr Uchenna Aokoye
Cosmetic dentist Dr Uchenna Okoye has died after a "sudden illness", her representatives have said.
The 53-year-old was a medical expert on ITV's This Morning and often contributed to variety of other programmes, newspapers and magazines, including Channel 5 makeover show 10 Years Younger in 10 Days.
She also ran two dental practices and had her own range of ‘MySmile’ dental products, alongside serving on the British Beauty Council's Advisory Board.
A post on her Instagram page on Monday said: "We are heartbroken to announce that Dr Uchenna Okoye sadly passed away after a sudden illness on Friday 15th September 2023.
"We know many of you will be devastated and shocked to see this post. We ask for your prayers and some privacy at this difficult time. We will be in touch in the coming days."

Tributes have poured in on social media, with fans and fellow industry professionals sharing their condolences.
The British Beauty Council was among those paying tribute, saying it was "deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Uchenna Okoye, a treasured colleague and Advisory Board member" in a post on Instagram.
"She was a brilliant and passionate individual who profoundly impacted the industry. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones. Uchenna was one of a kind," it added.

In addition, British makeup artist Lisa Eldridge said: "I’m so shocked and saddened to hear this … I can’t believe it.
"Uchenna, from our first day filming 10 years younger together 16 years ago, was one of the nicest, smartest and most generous people I know, not to mention a wonderful mother. My thoughts and love to Uchenna’s family."
