Luxury skincare brand Biologique Recherche has appointed Jean-Guillaume Trottier as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Trottier joins Biologique Recherche from The Estée Lauder Companies, where he was named Global President of Jo Malone London in 2016.

He also became Global President of skincare brand Darphin in 2019, before leaving the company in March 2023.

Founded in the late 1970s by a family of artisanal skincare experts, Biologique Recherche came about through the passion of biologist and physiotherapist duo Yvan and Josette Allouche.

Today, the brand is known for its clinical approach to skincare using intentionally pure, concentrated, raw ingredients, as well as innovative and meticulous protocols and procedures.

The brand has been helmed by co-CEOs and co-owners Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Rupert Schmid for almost 17 years.

Trottier will takeover from Delapalme and Schmid, who will remain "closely involved" with the business as executive board members.

"We are exceedingly happy and proud that Jean-Guillaume, one of the most talented leaders in the beauty industry with an impressive track record, is going to drive the future of Biologique Recherche and enable the company to reach new heights," said Delapalme and Schmid in a joint statement.
