Biotech pioneer Reome turns skincare thinking on its head with first moisturiser
Reome, the biotech-based skincare brand from beauty industry expert Joanna Ellner, has launched its first moisturiser.
After four years in development, the Biogenic Melting Cream has landed heralding a new generation in facial hydration that harnesses advanced biotechnology and longevity science.
Reome is turning conventional skincare thinking on its head by promoting the preservation and longevity of skin cells, as opposed to the constant exfoliation and renewal of skin cells some others advocate.
“We’ve been working on this, our first ever facial cream, for almost four years. We wanted to make certain that this formula could comprise both an incredibly sensorial texture, and a truly potent formulation, packed with the transformative bio-active ingredients, for which we’ve become known," explained brand founder Ellner.
"Biogenic Melting Cream literally melts into skin with a texture so rich yet fresh, it immediately quenches and plumps, leaving my skin feeling dressed in satin and glowing from within,” she added.
The moisturiser is designed to specifically target this issue of cellular senescence, the process by which skin cells cease to function optimally. The cells don’t die but rather linger in a dormant state, releasing pro-inflammatory signals that degrade collagen, disrupt barrier function, and accelerate visible ageing – a process known as 'inflammaging'. The more senescent cells in the skin, the more compromised its appearance and performance.
Biogenic Melting Cream tackles this issue with Telessence M³, a targeted longevity complex clinically proven to preserve cellular lifespan and boost the skin’s youthful appearance.
Bio-Rosea Stem Cell sits at the heart of the formula and is derived from the stem cells of lab-grown flower petals. It harnesses the power of the petal stem cells to identify and remove senescent cells, or 'zombie' cells, without damaging neighbouring healthy cells.
Also present is HA³, a biotech-enhanced, cubed form of hyaluronic acid that is capable of penetrating at a far broader range of skin depths than the industry standard.
Meanwhile polyglutamic acid is an advanced, high–molecular weight biopolymer capable of binding up to 5,000 times its weight in water. This next-generation humectant forms an intelligent moisture network across the skin’s surface, locking hydration in place while reinforcing the skin’s barrier function.
The formula also features hyper-fermented aloe. to stimulate collagen synthesis, calm inflammation, and deliver moisture deep within the skin. and CF5, a mineral complex delivering five essential trace elements — silicon, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc.
The cream is available now priced at £135 for 50ml at www.reome.com, Space NK, Liberty and other selected retailers.
Reome was established in 2023 by leading beauty journalist and brand consultant Joanna Ellner, who set out to create a brand that delivered tangible results by blending science with sensorial experience. The brand new moisturiser joins a Firming Eye Treatment, Three Suns Cleansing Balm and Active Recovery Broth in the product line-up.
