Birchbox co-founder Katia Beauchamp joins Victoria Beckham Beauty as CEO
Victoria Beckham Beauty has named Katia Beauchamp, co-founder of pioneering beauty box subscription service Birchbox, as its new CEO.
Beauchamp, who stepped down from Birchbox last year following its acquisition by FemTec Health, replaces Victoria Beckham Beauty co-founder Sarah Creal who left earlier this year. Beauchamp was instrumental in driving Birchbox’s growth from it was established in 2010 to over one million customers and 500 brand partnerships, including MAC Cosmetics and Lancôme.
In addition veteran beauty executive Nance Hastings, known for senior roles at Clinique, Estée Lauder and Tom Ford Beauty and who has latterly been president of Alpyn Beauty, will join Victoria Beckham Beauty as president in November of this year.
“I am very passionate about our comprehensive approach to an inclusive, clean beauty brand, and the response and engagement from our community has been phenomenal from day one," said Victoria Beckham in a statement. “Katia and Nance’s expertise, vision and experience are, undoubtedly, going to be invaluable in helping me grow, shape and continue this exciting journey,” she added.
The appointments come as the beauty brand, which was established three years ago, has its sights set of further global growth. Its launch followed Beckham's creation of a successful beauty capsule for Estée Lauder.
The clean beauty range features a wide selection of make-up for face, eyes and lips, as well as skincare.
