Blanket PR launches new talent network with star-studded beauty roster
Blanket, the PR agency responsible for beauty brands Gisou, Fresh, CeraVe and Jones Road, to name a few, has launched The Blanket Network - "a commercial talent division representing the most credible industry professionals".
This new offshoot, led by Blanket founders Shelley Whaits and Emily Shanks, offers a bespoke approach, with varying levels to suit trusted advocates in the beauty industry. It combines talent management experience with an understanding of how to craft commercial opportunities for experts with high endorsement value.
Emily Shanks, founding partner of the BLANKET Group, told TheIndustry.beauty: "The Blanket Network is a response beauty brands wanting to work with individuals who combine high endorsement value with the ability to educate followers effectively, driving consumer loyalty. We want to give credible industry experts experienced, considered support to expand their commercial opportunities which prioritises editorial integrity and long-term career goals.
"The vision isn’t to become a big talent agency or to drift too far away from the beauty., it’s to offer an experienced, bespoke management service to experts in their field. The aim is also to give individuals with the potential to launch a brand the support required via our incubator business Blanket Ventures, our investment arm that is focused on supporting visionary founders in the beauty space, where in 2020 we helped launch VIEVE, a makeup brand created with by Jamie Genevieve."
