Boots appoints Pete Markey as Chief Marketing Officer

Boots has announced the appointment of Pete Markey as Chief Marketing Officer for Boots, where he will be responsible for the vision, leadership, strategic direction and performance of all marketing activities.

Markey will also oversee the design and execution of Boots brand experiences, the Boots Advantage Card loyalty program, the Boots multi-channel media strategy, and the overall execution of marketing plans across physical and digital touchpoints.

In addition, he will be responsible for deploying a WBA partnership with Adobe and Microsoft. The partnership lays the cornerstone for delivering new customer experiences by connecting Boots customer data with Microsoft’s cloud-based data platform and Adobe’s Customer Experience Management solutions.

An accomplished and experienced marketing leader, Markey brings with him a wealth of experience. He is currently Chief Marketing Officer of TSB, where he is responsible for brand, data, analytics, communications, digital, content and sponsorship.

Alongside his role at TSB, he shown to a passionate supporter of diversity and inclusion and was an Executive Sponsor for TSB’s multi-award winning inclusion network.

His previous roles also include Chief Marketing Officer, The Post Office, Chief Marketing Officer, RSA Group, and Head of Marketing Operations, One Tel.
