Boots becomes first beauty retailer on Uber Eats
Boots has partnered with Uber Eats to offer delivery of its beauty essentials and healthcare products to customers within a 30 minute time frame.
The service will pilot in 14 Boots stores around the UK, with 13 of those giving customers access to third-party doorstep delivery of Boots products for the first time.
Uber Eats customers within range of participating Boots stores can choose from over 900 products available for delivery straight to their homes or workplace. This includes toiletries, beauty and gifting options, medicines for minor ailments, food and drink.
The stores offering Uber Eats delivery include London, Manchester, Glasgow, Oxford, Coventry, Cambridge, Nottingham, Derby, Chelmsford, Northampton, Middlesbrough, Solihull and Huddersfield.
Paula Bobbett, Chief Digital Officer at Boots, said: “We are hugely excited to be launching our partnership with Uber Eats. As the first health and beauty retailer on its platform, we can offer an extensive range of product options to customers for delivery straight to their door. Whether it’s medicines for mild illnesses or last-minute gifts, beauty items or top-ups of a favourite skincare brand, we can meet all our customers’ needs both quickly and conveniently.”
Alex Troughton, Head of Commerce at Uber Eats UK, added: "We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Boots, the leading health and beauty retailer in the UK. As customers are increasingly using Uber Eats to get anything, this partnership will mean high quality health and beauty products delivered in minutes."
The news comes after Boots released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ending 31 August 2022, revealing a 6% increase in Q4 sales.
Earlier this month, Boots announced that its Christmas 2022 range is the retailer's most affordable ever, introducing a series of initiatives to help consumers amid the cost-of-living crisis.
