Boots continues its beauty expansion with the introduction of Kylie Cosmetics
Boots is continuing to up the ante with its beauty offer by adding Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics brand to its line-up later this year.
Last week Kylie Cosmetics owner Coty said the beauty entrepreneur's wildly successful line will be completely revamped and relaunched on 15 July, introducing new clean and vegan formulas, new packaging and a refreshed website.
The UK health & beauty retailer, which has launched some 54 new beauty brands already in the past year, has confirmed it will be a stockist of the new range, which is also sold in the UK at Selfridges and Harrods.
No further details have been announced nor has a precise date been given for the launch, which gives the brand its first major presence on the UK high street, but Boots is inviting customers to sign up for a waiting list.
Alice Rafferty, Premium Beauty Senior Buying Manager, Boots UK commented: “Launching Kylie Cosmetics is a big moment for us and we are so excited to announce that her highly-anticipated range will be coming to Boots later this year, making it more accessible to UK customers than ever before. We are always on the lookout for the best beauty brands to bring to the high street, and we can't wait for our customers to get their hands on Kylie’s products.”
Kylie Jenner launched her beauty line six years ago with a selection of lip kits. It has since gone on to become the most followed beauty brand in the world with 24m followers on Instagram. At the end of 2019, Coty acquired a minority stake in the brand in a deal which valued it at $1.2bn.
Yesterday, it was revealed that her sister Kim Kardashian West's KKW Beauty line would also be completely revamped. Kardashian West informed her social media followers yesterday that the brand would be taken offline on 1 August and a completely revamped line would be introduced soon after. Coty took a 20% stake in KKW Beauty in January, valuing that business at more than $1bn.
