Boots is introducing a host of new ways to better support its customers through the menopause, including specialist staff training and a new menopause service.

With over 40 different signs and symptoms of the menopause, the retailer wants to make it far easier for customers to find the right products, services and advice to suit their own personal situation.

A dedicated menopause page on boots.com allows customers to shop by symptom, while a "convenient and discreet" menopause service is now also available through the Boots Online Doctor service.

It offers women access to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) tablets, patches and gels, and helps them to find the most suitable treatment option for them.

If appropriate, the service can also provide quick access to advice and prescription-only medicine without having to see a GP with an online consultation form.

Staff will also have access to specialist online menopause training to help educate them on the signs and symptoms of all stages of the menopause including peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause.

Boots is also offering deals on a range of products to support women dealing with the menopause including a limited time deal on a selection of products for £10 at  including Pantene Hair Biology Menopause Hair Thickening & Scalp Soothing Treatment, Nature’s Bounty Beautiful Skin Gummies, and Olay Pro Retinol Eye Treatment.

Earlier this month Holland & Barrett pledged to boost its support for menopausal customers and staff.

The health and beauty retailer made a number of commitments including: to improve menopause education increase visibility of menopause-support products and better represent menopausal woman in brand campaigns.
