Boots is launching its "biggest ever weekend of deals" this Black Friday, with over 18,000 promotions across Christmas gifting, electrical beauty and premium cosmetics ranges.

Starting its Black Friday promotions early, bestsellers have so far included Estee Lauder Stellar Skincare, Paco Rabanne 1 million fragrance and the Lynx Black Duo gift set. The health and beauty retailer's deals offer discounts up to £320.

Boots also ran an exclusive 2-hour only promotion on the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, which saw orders increase almost 9000% versus the day before.

Seb James, Managing Director at Boots, said: “We love Black Friday at Boots. It is a time of year when people can find really good value for presents for those that they love.

"This year, life might be a bit tougher for everybody and so we have worked hard to do more and offer better deals than ever. In fact, we have 18,000 deals in all, and more than half of our Christmas range is £10 and under. I really hope that everybody will come and take a look in our stores and online over the next few days."

How Boots is preparing for Black Friday

Dispatched orders on boots.com are already up by 11% versus last year, and operations are ready to process an influx of orders over the Black Friday weekend.

To make online shopping easier, Boots has introduced ApplePay and Klarna for customers wishing to split the cost of their shopping into three interest and fee-free payments.

Boots has commissioned new UK-first automation at its main warehouse to enable an extra 70,000 lines a day to be picked, the equivalent of 20,000 more orders per day. The retailer is also using its ‘Cobots’  - collaborative robots – to support its picking operations, with each Cobot predicted to travel over 37 miles a day during the Black Friday peak, versus a usual 28 miles.

Additionally, Boots has introduced more ‘hybrid’ stores which pick and pack online orders. There are now 90 of these stores across the UK, that operate as normal retail stores, but also support the warehouse with online and click and collect orders.

Last month, Boots announced that Christmas 2022 is its most affordable ever, introducing a series of initiatives to help consumers amid the cost-of-living crisis.
