Boots launches ‘Menopause Friendly’ symbol
Boots has launched a new initiative to help customers identify products and services that may help with the signs and symptoms of the menopause.
In collaboration with GenM, the initiative sees a selection of products and services at Boots display a 'Menopause Friendly' symbol.
The symbol features with products such as No7's Menopause Skincare and Boots skin:edit collections, along with targeted over-the-counter products and pharmacy medicines.
Anne Higgins, Pharmacy Director at Boots said: “Our mission is to help women through every life stage and in conversations about menopause, it’s so important to highlight the different signs and symptoms and support available. We hope our new ‘Menopause Friendly’ symbol will make it even easier for women to find the support they need.”
The announcement follows a series of initiatives by Boots to help target the menopause. From April 2022, the retailer announced it would cover NHS prescriptions costs for HRT for its team members in England.
In August, Boots was independently accredited as a Menopause Friendly Employer, becoming the first health and beauty organisation to achieve this status. Along with launching a brand-new skincare range, formulated to target visible skin changes experienced during perimenopause and the menopause.
Most recently, the health and beauty retailer became the first pharmacy to offer HRT medication without a prescription, making it available to purchase as a pharmacy medicine.
