Boots reveals top haircare trends for AW24 as Aveda joins its line-up
Boots has identified four haircare trends for autumn/winter 2024, with help from Boots x Live True salon stylist, Paco Latorre.
Latorre is a resident stylist at Boots x Live True London salon, which first opened its doors in October 2023.
The salon concept combines a shopping area showcasing a range of premium and professional haircare with a fully functional hair salon operated by Live True’s team.
The trends
Clean Girl Slick Bun
All-in-one hair serums and oils are becoming increasingly popular, with interest in minimalist hair serums increasing by 110% at Boots.
This trend is driven by the desire for simplified styling routines that still offer haircare benefits, such as pre-wash nourishment or post-styling hydration.
With hair oiling seeing a surge in popularity, with an 80% year-on-year increase, the clean girl slick bun is a popular hairstyle that exemplifies this trend.
Texture Take Back
Reclaiming natural texture is in for autumn, celebrating the individuality of curly, coily, and wavy hair in all its glory.
This natural and voluminous style embraces frizz and airy texture for an easy-going, carefree look.
Biome Boosting Haircare
This season, haircare is shifting away from damaging styling techniques and towards those that reinforce hair integrity.
This trend has led to the rise of clever styling products that boost the scalp’s microbiome to create healthier looking, more lustrous hair from root to tip.
Party Pull Back
The party pull back is a universally flattering updo that effortlessly transitions the hair from day to night, which Latorre says can cleverly conceal any signs of second-day hair.
This trending style works on all hair lengths and textures, making it perfect for a chic, low-maintenance style.
The new haircare trends come as Boots further expands its beauty line-up with the launch of premium haircare brand Aveda.
Founded in 1978, Aveda is known for its commitment to natural ingredients and plant-powered formulas. The brand's vision is to provide cutting-edge, botanical products that are both effective and environmentally conscious.
Its arrival marks the latest new brand to join the health and beauty retailer, with a total of 55 new beauty brands launching at Boots over the last twelve months.
The brand also joins Boots growing premium and professional haircare line-up alongside brands such as Kérastase, Matrix, Redken, OUAI, and Wella Professionals.
