Health and beauty retailer, Boots has announced it will start rolling out its Mothercare franchise partnership this week, through the launch of the brand's products on its website from tomorrow.

The Mothercare range will be available in over 400 Boots stores from 28 September.

The franchise partnership will also see Boots opening dedicated Mothercare and premium nursery zones in 10 stores by 13 November.

The new Mothercare and premium nursery zones will start to open in Boots stores located in Trafford Centre, Glasgow Fort, Dudley Merry Hill, Fort Dunlop, Lakeside, Reading, Bluewater, Aberdeen, Cardiff and Eldon Square.

These new zones will provide Baby Help Hubs, offering customers with one-on-one assistance with purchases and access to expert Boots advice.

Chief operating officer at Mothercare, Kevin Rusling said: “We are really excited that Mothercare is launching in Boots.”

It’s the start of a partnership between two high street brands with a strong heritage, coming together to lead the way in parenting."

“As we settle into our new home both in-store and online, we hope to reconnect with our customers and offer support for every step of their journey.”

Trading director at Boots, Kevin Heath said: “We know from talking to our customers that having a wide range of great brands along with expertise under one roof is extremely important to them, and that’s why we’re reinventing and expanding our baby and toddler offering at Boots."

“We want to be the go-to place where customers can get everything they need from great value essentials, to pharmacy advice, whilst having a great shopping experience.”

Last month, Mothercare finalised a 10-year deal with Boots to become its UK & Ireland franchise partner. Its franchise partnership with Boots was first announced in December last year before being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, Mothercare, put its UK stores into administration with all 79 shops closing and 2,500 jobs lost. Since, the company has continued to trade online and through overseas stores.

After leaving the UK high street the retailer has re-focused on simply providing branded products to retailers.
