British Beauty Council appoints first-ever ambassadors to help boost international growth
The British Beauty Council has appointed renowned makeup artist Bobbi Brown as its first-ever US Ambassador as it looks to "take beauty to the next level".
Founded in 2018, the British Beauty Council is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the wider industry by generating conversation to tackle issues facing the beauty industry.
The new appointment of Bobbi Brown will help increase engagement with the British Beauty Council's work on an international scale.
Brown has also been selected for her "unique industry insights to support and grow brands and beauty experts she believes in".
Bobbi Brown, newly appointed US Ambassador at the British Beauty Council, said: "I’m excited to work with the team at the council to see how this role can make a difference to the British Beauty industry on a global scale.
"Plus, I am a total anglophile – I love the cool aesthetic of British design and British beauty. So, this is set to be a really exciting partnership."
The British Beauty Council has also appointed six other ambassadors to help boost the organisation's reach.
These include celebrity hairstylist Sam McKnight MBE, skincare expert Caroline Hirons, makeup artist Mary Greenwell, This Works founder Kathy Phillips, Beauty Pie founder Marcia Kilgore, and beauty journalist and diversity advocate Dr Ateh Jewel.
Caroline Hirons, advisory board member and newly appointed ambassador at the British Beauty Council, said: "Having been an advisory board member since 2018, I am delighted to have the opportunity to become one of the first British Beauty Council Ambassadors and to take on this increased responsibility.
"I will continue to work with the organisation to establish and maintain beauty industry standards and positioning across the UK and overseas. The beauty industry is one of the most dynamic, inclusive and profitable in the world and I look forward to working with the council to showcase and elevate every facet it has to offer."
