The British Beauty Council has named British-American model and founder of MAY Botanicals, Georgia May Jagger, as its first Wellbeing Ambassador.

Founded in 2018, The British Beauty Council is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the beauty industry by generating conversation to tackle issues facing the sector.

Sitting alongside existing ambassadors and advisory board members, including Sam Chapman, Rita Ora, Kate Moss and Melanie Grant, together these experts help to drive the council’s future roadmaps forward, to ensure the organisation is solving challenges facing the industry.

In particular, the new appointment of Jagger hopes to bolster the influence of the industry on wellness, creativity and entrepreneurship.

The news comes after Jagger launched MAY Botanicals in 2023 with a skincare range that combines science-based functionality and ethically sourced, natural ingredients.

The model-turned-entrepreneur, who has graced the covers of multiple magazines across the world, said she was inspired by her personal journey with sensitive skin.

It launched with a cleanser, moisturiser, spot solution and sheet mask, later introducing a face oil to the line-up.
