The British Beauty Council has announced Trinny Woodall, founder and CEO of cosmetics brand Trinny London, and Jessica Diner, Global Beauty & Wellness Director at Vogue, as its latest ambassadors.

Under the partnership, both Woodall and Diner will work closely with the council on its new roadmap, applying their expertise in beauty brands, media and entrepreneurship to guide the organisation’s activity and amplify its work.

Millie Kendall OBE, CEO of the British Beauty Council, said: "I am delighted that two industry powerhouses are joining our esteemed board of ambassadors.

"I am delighted that my team and I can tap into their knowledge and insights as we navigate our next roadmap, and we can work together to continue to raise the reputation of the industry."

Woodall, who has become synonymous with the British fashion and beauty industries, first rose to fame as one half of presenting duo Trinny and Susannah (Constantine) on the Noughties makeover show, What Not To Wear.

She launched her brand, Trinny London, in 2017, offering a range of high-quality, versatile makeup and skincare products designed to be both effective and easy to use.

"The power of beauty is limitless. At Trinny London, everything starts with emotional connection – and no industry is as deeply personal and connected as beauty. We are thrilled to be part of an organisation that uplifts British beauty founders and the wider community, and proud to represent British beauty on the global stage," said Woodall.

Meanwhile, Diner has established herself as a highly respected voice in beauty, having been promoted to Global Beauty & Wellness Director at Vogue last year.

Her long history in editorial means she holds unique expertise and a holistic awareness of the beauty industry.

"I have long been a supporter of the British Beauty Council’s incredible work from the sidelines and it’s a huge honour to now officially come into the fold," added Diner.

"Championing the excellence of the people and the brands within the beauty industry has always been a priority for Vogue and we look forward to working with the British Beauty Council to further amplify and nurture its growth."

Founded in 2018, The British Beauty Council is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the beauty industry by generating conversation to tackle issues facing the sector.

Sitting alongside existing ambassadors and advisory board members, including Sam Chapman, Rita Ora, Kate Moss and Melanie Grant, together these experts help drive the council’s future roadmaps forward, to ensure the organisation is solving challenges facing the industry.

In particular, the appointments of Diner and Woodall will bolster the launch of the council's new Investment, Innovation & Technology pillar, which seeks to "enhance competitiveness and sustainability in the beauty sector, driving growth and economic resilience".
