Welcoming back beauty consumers to another day of celebrations, the second day of British Beauty Week has seen a "jam-packed schedule", with more to follow this evening.

Running from 5-11 September 2022, the British Beauty Council describes this year's event as the "most inclusive and accessible yet". Throughout the week, beauty consumers will be able to connect with brands, retailers, salons, charities and e-commerce platforms to celebrate the beauty industry.

Day two of British Beauty Week has seen a number of physical and digital events take place across the country, such as workshops, shopping events, panel discussions and webinars.

A physical event on 'The latest achievements in skin and hair care' saw experts from Noble Panacea, Vida Glow, PCA Skin and Totally Derma speak about top advancements in skin and hair care.

An online event on 'How nail art is reflecting culture' explored how the nail category reflects a changing culture and why this can be a source of advantage for brand builders and entrepreneurs.

In addition, British Beauty Council CEO, Millie Kendall OBE guided beauty consumers on a virtual tour of L’Occitane’s Regent Street store via Youtube, Instagram and TikTok.

Later this evening, a Facebook webinar on 'Empowering solo operators to build a successful business' will see Ailish Lucas from The Glow Getter speak to Abigail James about tips for starting and sustaining a successful business. A physical 'Future Facing: New Frontiers in Beauty Marketing' event will also run in London from 5-7pm.

Emma Pinto, Head of Brand Partnerships & Business Development at the British Beauty Council, told TheIndustry.beauty: "It's been a brilliant start to BBW 2022 with a completely jam-packed schedule. So many brands have come together to celebrate the 'Power of Beauty' in an industry that brings so much value to people's well-being as well as economically.

"Today kicked off with a breakfast panel talk event hosted by Dermoi, presenting a culmination of science-led brands, followed by the cutest BBW-themed cupcakes and granola pots. Treatwell hosted a webinar looking at the future of beauty marketplaces. Space NK held a variety of in-store events across the country giving consumers the opportunity to discover new collections from Sarah Chapman, Rose Inc and Fresh to name a few. Another great in-store event was held in L'Occitane's Christopher Place London branch, treating customers to a 20-minute relaxing skincare ritual.

"And it doesn't stop here, we've got some great evening events lined up. Spring Studios are opening their doors to an in-person event with speakers from industry experts including digital personalisation platform Revieve talking about the future of beauty and technology with AI and AR try-ons through to the use of NFT rewards. Online beauty platform Timely will be speaking to beauty entrepreneurs about tips for starting and sustaining a successful business. We expect a full house at these events and can't wait for the rest of the week's events to come!"
