British Beauty Week 2022 has kicked off its celebrations today with a number of nationwide events to help champion the "power of beauty".

Running from 5-11 September 2022, the British Beauty Council describes this year's event as the "most inclusive and accessible yet". Throughout the week, beauty consumers will be able to connect with brands, retailers, salons, charities and ecommerce platforms to celebrate the beauty industry.

Day one of British Beauty Week has seen a number of physical and digital events take place across the country, such as workshops, shopping events, panel discussions and webinars.

Today's digital events included a 'Planet-positive beauty: The conscious consumer's demand for transparency' webinar. This saw members of the Sustainable Beauty Coalition, B Corp Beauty Coalition, Marie Claire’s Lisa Oxenham and sustainability marketing technology Provenance discuss what it means to be a planet-positive beauty brand in 2022.

The first day of British Beauty Week has also featured a series of in-store experiences such as exclusive Dermalogica x HydraFacial consultations, expert fragrance consultations at The Perfume Shop and a 'Your Best Hair Treasure Hunt with JVN and Space NK'.

Other highlights from day one of British Beauty Week include:

  • Sali Hughes Skincare with Superdrug & Revolution.
  • Instagram Live with the founder of The C List.
