British brand founder Jules Von Hep exits Isle of Paradise
Seven years ago, celebrity spray tanning artist Jules Von Hep harnessed his tanning knowledge and expertise to create one of the now most-loved self-tanning brands on the British high street - Isle of Paradise. Today, founder Hep has announced he has officially resigned from the brand.
Jules Von Hep started his career as a backstage spray tanner and became a self-tanning expert over the years. In 2018 he set out to "lead a global beauty revolution" by creating one of the now best-known tanning brands on high street shelves - Isle of Paradise.
Hep's mission to provide a customisable, natural-looking tan for all skin tones has been the driving force behind the brand's success. Isle of Paradise's vegan, cruelty-free formulas empower individuals to achieve a sun-kissed glow while promoting body positivity and self-love. Today, the brand is loved by millions craving a buildable bronzy glow and is stocked at the biggies including Boots, Amazon, Sephora, Space NK and Cult Beauty.
Today, after seven years at the helm of his consumer-facing company, Hep is stepping down. He took to Instagram to write: "It is with a heavy but open heart I announce my resignation and departure from Isle of Paradise".

Hep added: "Rest assured; Isle of Paradise is in safe hands. For the past five years, I have partnered with Future Beauty Labs, the beauty company based in Glasgow and New York. The Future Beauty Lab team will take the reins from here on out and I feel lucky to have worked alongside such a talented team!
"We created all of Paradise to provide easy-to-use self-tan for everybody – skin tone, texture or body shape. I set out with the hope of changing the beauty industry whilst teaching backstage knowledge about self-tan application, demonstrating on my own body rather than using models. I hope I’ve been a disruptive yet authentic and reliable founder and that I have helped you achieve your glowiest tan yet!"
