Luxury Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli has entered the beauty market with the launch of its first two personal fragrances - Brunello Cucinelli pour Femme and Brunello Cucinelli pour Homme.

The new fragrances have been developed in partnership with Italian beauty manufacturer and distributor EuroItalia.

Inspired by the brand's roots and the land of Umbria, the scents have been created by Firmenich master perfumers Daphné Bugey for Brunello Cucinelli pour Femme and Olivier Cresp for Brunello Cucinelli pour Homme.

The launch marks the luxury brand's first foray into personal fragrance, having already created a range of home fragrance and candles via its homeware category.

Launching first at Brunello Cucinelli's store in Milan’s Golden Triangle, the scents will also join the brand’s boutiques in Europe and the Middle East, as well as at selected perfumeries and retailers, launching from May 2023.

What are the fragrances?

Described by the brand, the two fragrances act as "sophisticated ambassadors of the culture of beauty and craft values that Brunello Cucinelli’s Casa di Moda has been cultivating for many years now, in perfect harmony with creation and the fundamental value of human sustainability".

Brunello Cucinelli pour Femme is a women's fragrance, featuring sweet chestnut, citruses (bergamot, mandarin and orange blossom), pink pepper and prestige woods, among other notes. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli pour Homme is a men's fragrance, which includes spicy juniper and other refined ingredients such as angelica, black pepper, clary sage and ginger.

Commenting on the launch, Brunello Cucinelli said: “I am particularly glad to be announcing this new production, which adds two perfumes, one for women and one for men, to the line of elegance of our Casa di Moda.

"Some years ago, on the passing of my very dear friend, a producer of aromatic essences, I dreamt that one day I would dedicate a new product to his memory. I’m now making that dream come true, a dream I’ve never abandoned in all these years.

"That long wait, which I see as a value in itself, inspired me in this choice in fact. Just consider how long perfumes have fascinated women and men and accompanied them through life, from the antiquity of the east to the modernity of the west. I like to think that a fragrance, used in moderation, is like a caress: along with trust, it gives someone a vision of the world, in colour."
