BYBI launches world’s first carbon negative skincare product

Climate conscious beauty brand BYBI has launched the "world’s first carbon negative skincare product" with its new Glowcurrant Booster.

Catching more carbon than it emits, the product is made from eco-ingredients that aim to nourish, moisturise and brighten skin.

Manufactured using 100% green energy, the product’s negative carbon emissions relates to the whole supply chain including its packaging.

Its new-to-market Vivomer cap and nozzle are biodegradable and compostable, without emitting greenhouse gases or leaving behind microplastics after the product's end-of-life. In home compost, the cap can break down within 52 weeks and in general waste, it will be gone within three years.

Additionally, the bottle and carton are made from sugarcane, a carbon negative material that is 100% recyclable.

Launched in 2017, BYBI is a cruelty-free, vegan and plant-powered natural skincare brand. The beauty brand follows its sustainable ethos of creating products that “boost your skin health whilst shrinking your carbon footprint”. BYBI’s bestsellers include a Bakuchiol Booster, Milk Melt Cleanser and Face Base Moisturiser.
