Byredo and Susanne Kaufmann collaborate on limited-edition launch
Byredo and Susanne Kaufmann are launching a limited-edition series of products to celebrate the "sensorial connection between skincare and fragrance".
The collection champions Kaufmann’s expertise in skincare powered by nature’s plants, as well as Byredo founder Ben Gorham's knowledge of fragrance.
It features a "deeply moisturising" scented body oil and roll-on fragrance oil with skincare benefits.
The range is named after Kaufmann’s home in Bregenzerwald, a forest region in the Austrian Alps where her eponymous skincare line is responsibly produced.
Here, the traditions and knowledge surrounding the healing power of local Alpine plants have provided inspiration for the development of Kaufmann’s line over the past two decades.
"Our collaboration with Byredo encapsulates everything I love about Bregenzerwald; the vast array of efficacious natural ingredients, the crisp, fresh scent of the Alpine forests that fills the air and the creative and innovative imaginations of the people who live here," she revealed in a statement.
The collection boasts antioxidant rich, locally sourced plant oils that deliver moisturising benefits, as well as jasmine and hints of sweet fig to create an "invigorating yet soothing" aroma, reminiscent of a walk in the forest.
With sustainability a shared mutual philosophy, the oils are also packaged in recycled glass printed with sustainable ink, with cartons made from recycled cardboard.
