CeraVe has brought its Vitamin C Serum – said to be the number one Vitamin C skincare product in the US – to the UK market for the first time thanks to high demand from consumers.

The serum contains 10% vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) and forms part of the CeraVe Skin Renewing franchise.  As well as the Vitamin C, the serum contains hyaluronic acid and CeraVe’s signature combination of three skin-identical essential ceramides for optimal efficiency and comfort on the skin.

It comes in a lightweight, non-comedogenic formula and has been clinically proven to strengthen the skin barrier, by locking moisture in and keeping irritants out.

CeraVe consultant dermatologist Dr Alexis Granite described the product as "a great all-rounder". “Vitamin C is a great option for skin care because it not only treats skin issues such as dullness and texture, but also helps prevents these issues,” she said.

The 10% potency is sufficient to deliver results without causing irritation, Dr Granite added: "CeraVe’s Skin Renewing Vitamin C serum strikes a great balance between efficacy and tolerability. It is formulated with 10% Vitamin C in its most potent form, L ascorbic acid, to ensure optimal results, while CeraVe’s signature blend of ceramides and hydrating hyaluronic acid alongside vitamin B5 ensure the skin feels comforted and skin barrier is strengthened.”

To mark the serum's arrival in the UK, CeraVe took over the Watchhouse coffee shop in St Mary Axe in the City of London this week, renaming it The Vttamin C Café. Press and influencers attended the space to learn more about the serum and the full CeraVe range, while Dr Granite was on-hands to carry out personal skincare consultations.

CeraVe brought its dermatologist-developed skincare line to the UK six years ago, having been a hugely popular line in the US since its launch in 2006. The range is widely available nationwide in the UK, including in branches of Boots. The new Vitamin C Serum is priced at £29.
