You heard it here first: Chanel Beauty is coming to East London's Shoreditch with a brand new pop-up in celebration of its first female fragrance launch in eight years, Chance Eau Splendide.

To mark this moment in fragrance history, Chanel is asking visitors to "Take a Chance" by visiting its pop-up at The Dream Factory on Chance Street in East London. The event, which will run from 25 April to 5 May, promises to be an "immersive journey into the world of Chance Eau Splendide".

Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Chance Eau Splendide (£109 for 50ml), which introduces a striking purple hue to the iconic Chance collection. This new fragrance, crafted by Olivier Polge, is a "marvel of paradoxes", balancing freshness and depth.

The scent, represented by the face of the campaign, Belgian singer-songwriter and actress Angèle, opens with a sparkling raspberry accord that brings crisp fruitiness to the forefront, complemented by notes of rose and violet. Its floral heart features rose geranium grown in Chanel’s own Grasse fields. As for the base, it reveals a rich, woody complexity, which blends cedar, white musk and a dose of powdery iris.

Already intrigued by the fragrance? Chanel is inviting you to visit its immersive pop-up at any time to enjoy the playful yet relaxed atmosphere. Guests can try their luck at unexpected games while discovering the existing Chance line and the lilac-hued new fragrance.

A fragrance discovery bar offers fragrance services to discover the olfactive notes of Chance, Chance Eau Fraîche, Chance Eau Tendre, Chance Eau Vive and Chance Eau Splendide. Spoiler alert: As a surprise, on select dates, Chanel will offer complimentary candy floss inspired by the new fragrance. Sign us up.

But there's more. On Chance Street, pun intended, Chanel will also debut its new fragrance film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It spotlights Angèle venturing into an intriguing new attraction at the fairground: the hall of mirrors, where she attempts to seize her chance in a kaleidoscope of lights and illusions.

There are also plenty of photo opportunities, such as at the Chance Street mural. The artwork, which is rendered in the exact pantone of the new bottle, was inspired by the new film and the movement of the Chance Eau Splendide bottle.

Would it be a Chanel Beauty pop-up without a whole host of beauty services and experiential offerings? First up on the list is its Chance Beauty Service. For £60, visitors can enjoy a 1-hour and 15-minute makeup appointment where they can pick from five Chance-inspired looks to discover. Whether it be a Magnetic Look with purple energy, an Audacious Look with golden hues, a Fresh Look of vibrant corals, a Delicate Look consisting of soft pinks, or a Bright Look of warm peach tones.

Taking the experience to a whole new level, Chanel Beauty is hosting a Chance Street Soirée open to the public. The evening event will be hosted in the space on 1 May from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Clients can book their tickets for £60 to explore and discover the Chance fragrances while a DJ fills the space with music and waiters serve cocktails and canapés. The booking fee is redeemable against purchase at the pop-up and includes an 'elevated' goodie bag.

This pop-up comes just weeks after Chanel returned to Covent Garden's Piazza with not one, not two, but three Rouge Coco-themed pop-ups for the lipstick lovers amongst us. In Covent Garden, the home of Chanel’s first beauty boutique worldwide, the luxury beauty brand hosted a free-to-enter immersive experience from 21 to 30 March 2025.
