Chanel's President of Fragrance and Beauty, Anne Kirby, will retire at the end of 2024 after five years in the role.

Kirby joined Chanel as President of Fragrance and Beauty in 2018, having previously served as Directeur Général at Chanel-owned lingerie and swimwear brand Eres from 2015 to 2018.

Prior to this, she was Directeur Général at Bourjois from 2007 to 2015, before Chanel sold the brand to Coty in 2015.

During her tenure as President of Fragrance and Beauty, Kirby has worked to strengthen the luxury house’s Fragrance and Beauty division, including the launch of its Comètes Collective in October 2022 – an initiative aimed at "accelerating the creative momentum" and diversity of Chanel’s makeup division.

The luxury house delivered total revenue of $19.7 billion last year, with its Fragrance and Beauty division experiencing "very strong growth" across all categories, particularly makeup.

"Under her leadership, the Fragrance and Beauty business has achieved strong business performance, while reinforcing a culture of creation and innovation, particularly through the development of product offerings and distribution globally," Chanel told WWD.

"All of these activities have strengthened Chanel’s brand equity and built further desirability among new and existing customers."
