Chappell Roan named MAC Cosmetics Global Ambassador

MAC Cosmetics has named Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Chappell Roan as its newest Global Brand Ambassador. Roan will star in global campaigns beginning in 2026, with the brand promising "exclusive surprises and bold creative moments" throughout the long-term partnership.

The partnership is set to bring the brand’s long-standing celebration of boldness, queerness and creativity into a new era.

For Roan, the collaboration is deeply personal. She said: "Partnering with MAC feels full circle. This brand has always made space for people like me; since day one they’ve embraced art, queerness, drag, and self-expression."

MAC has a long history of aligning with artists and cultural icons who push boundaries, including figures such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Troye Sivan, all of whom have helped the brand maintain its reputation for inclusivity and bold creativity. Roan certainly fits the out-of-the-box mold.

Roan’s makeup has long been an extension of her artistry. "It is always glam to the max, slightly haunting, a little weird, and gorgeous. I think there’s something so special about looking not just beautiful, but striking in a surreal way, while singing sparkly pop songs," Roan explained. "Whenever I don’t have colour in a makeup look, I feel very naked… I had to lean into the recklessness and embarrassment of looking like a crayon box, and that took a long time."
