Charlotte Tilbury founding CEO exits after 14 years
Demetra Pinsent is stepping down as Chief Executive of Charlotte Tilbury after 14 years with the business.
The British beauty brand confirmed that Pinsent had decided to leave the business to "pursue new opportunities". Her final day is 26 February.
While no successor has been named, the brand said founder Charlotte Tilbury will continue to lead the company "creatively and commercially" in her roles as President, Chair and Chief Creative Officer.
"Charlotte and Puig would like to thank Demetra for her tremendous dedication and contribution to building the business and wish her all the very best for the future," a spokesperson told TheIndustry.beauty.
Pinsent joined Charlotte Tilbury at its inception in 2012 and played a pivotal role in transforming Tilbury’s makeup artistry into a billion-dollar global beauty brand.
Under her leadership, the company expanded rapidly across international markets, built a powerful retail footprint and cultivated a strong community - cementing its status as one of the most influential names in prestige beauty.
During her tenure, the company was acquired in 2020 by Spanish conglomerate Puig, which is set to assume full ownership by 2030.
Earlier this month, Puig delivered record full-year sales in FY25, marking a 7.8% increase and outperforming the premium beauty market. Makeup was the strongest-growing segment, up 13.7% to €845 million (£736 million), driven by the continued momentum and global success of Charlotte Tilbury.
Pinsent was recognised in HM The King’s New Year Honours List last year, receiving an OBE for her services to business and the beauty industry.
