Childs Farm expands into US with Amazon deal
British skincare brand Childs Farm is expanding its international footprint next month, launching in the US with Amazon.
Founded by Joanna Jensen as a solution to her own daughters’ sensitive and eczema prone skin, Childs Farm launched in 2014 with natural, sustainable and sensitive skincare and haircare products for babies and children. The business was acquired by PZ Cussons in March 2022 to help take the brand to the "next level".
The launch of Childs Farm in the US will feature the brand's Hair & Body Wash in various scents, as well as a conditioner, bubble bath, body lotion and eczema moisturising cream.
The moves forms part of the brand's longer-term strategy to expand Childs Farm via regional retailers and high-end supermarkets in the US. The company has brought in Philadelphia-based distributor The Emerson Group as a US distributor.
Joanna Jensen, Founder of Childs Farm, said: “I am thrilled that Childs Farm is about to launch in the US through Amazon. This is a major milestone for the brand and part of the reason why I chose to sell to PZ Cusson’s was because of their ability to drive growth globally and scale up in a way that was not possible as an SME.
"Having continued to grow in the UK, the US is a very important next move for the brand. The US baby and child personal care market is worth £1.25billion and is growing at a rate of 2-3% annually"
