Code8 Beauty has launched a personalised beauty service “The Bespoke Lipstick Bar”, where shoppers can create their signature shade of lipstick in the heart of Mayfair.

Do you remember when YSL launched its Rouge Sur Mesure Device Lipstick Printer? The do-it-yourself lipstick-creating tool shook the industry. Despite the exciting promise of making your very own shade of lipstick on the go, the heafty price tag of £269 soon put a stop to the buzz.

Now, Code8, is bringing a Bespoke Lipstick Bar to the heart of Mayfair at its flagship store in Burlington Arcade for £80 per person.

The beauty brand was founded by Sophia Chikovani in 2019 in an attempt to go against the grain of heavy contoured faces and champion minimal makeup. It soon became renowned for its high-performance, multifunctional products and long-lasting formulas.

Chikovani was inspired to create the new lipstick bar by her childhood memories of watching her artist aunt blend lipsticks to achieve her perfect shade. Whether shoppers are in the market for a pinky nude or scarlet red, or even replicate a discontinued shade, the Bespoke Lipstick Bar’s cutting-edge technology promises to recreate any lipstick shade in a creamy or matte texture.

During the 45 minute session , a dedicated Colour Maestro will guide attendees into finding their perfect colour starting with a profile of their natural colour harmonies. The process takes rich pigments and blends primary colours in front of your eyes to create the custom shade. Once the desired shade is reached, the formula is melted, poured into the mould and frozen in place. When mould is extracted and pressed into its vessel, the bespoke lipstick is ready to be named.

Code8 Beauty will make a file of the signature shade breakdown so shoppers can reorder at anytime. What's more, the experience can be enjoyed by multiple people at the same time, offering a perfect gift for friends, families and bridal parties.
