COS enters fragrance with debut perfume and candle line

COS, the H&M-owned fashion brand renowned for luxe wardrobe staples, has unveiled its debut fragrance collection, which is coming to the British high street this April.

Giving Zara and its beloved high street fragrances a run for their money, COS Perfumary captures "modern elegance, translating the brand’s dedication to impeccable craftsmanship and design into the world of scent".

The Eau de Parfum collection features four exclusive scents designed to evoke emotion. Each scent, crafted in the historic heart of haute parfumerie, Grasse, will be available in sleek 100ml  (£75) bottles or 15ml travel-size editions (£35). As for the packaging, the fragrances are fashioned in a paired-back classic glass bottle, in line with the fashion brand's classical aesthetic. Plus, shoppers can purchase a contemporary leather holder for £25 - the finishing touch for bringing their new scent on the go.

COS will also stock a discovery set (£19), which was created to inspire fragrance layering to create a personalised scent for the wearer’s unique skin chemistry. The collection is complemented by four candles (£45), which promise to bring olfactory elegance into the home.

Perfume fragrances include:

• Auburn -  a rich and refined scent crafted with dark vanilla and woody notes while sweet at its core.
• Mythe -  it blends fresh notes of ginger with green cardamom pods for an earthy spritz.
• Fleuriste - a pure and fragrant floral bouquet wrapped in a soft musk.
• Solaire - a delicate composition of olibanum, myrrh and benzoin, offset with undertones of cistus and amber.

The candle collection’s four distinctive scents include:

• Figuier Du Jardin - an earthy blend of fig leaves, pink pepper and olibanum essence with a subtly smoky finish.
• Voyage Épices - a rich combination of cinnamon and geranium bourbon, softened with a heart of clove bud.
• Cabane De Bois - it blends rich cinnamon and patchouli with woody nuances of cedarwood and cashmere wood.
• Cuir En Fleur - it fuses a floral heart with subtly sweet plum and vanilla, warmed with cinnamon and cedarwood.
