Cuthbert the Caterpillar goes couture in Aldi’s first nail design drop
Who knew Baked Beans could look just at home on your fingertips as they do on your plate? According to Aldi, not only Baked Beans but also Cuthbert the Caterpillar is the perfect addition to summer nail designs.
The supermarket has just dropped a line-up of limited-edition 3D nail designs inspired by its most iconic in-store favourites such as Bramwell’s Baked Beans.
Aldi has teamed up with Instagram-famous nail artist Sophie Parkinson (aka @soph_builds_nails), who spent over 300 hours crafting the eccentric yet classically British designs. The line-up includes mini versions of Bramwell’s Baked Beans, Norpak Slightly Salted Butter, Professor Peppy, Magnum Washing Up Liquid, Titan Chocolate Bars and Stackz Crisps - each shrunk down to mini, hyper-detailed nail art designs.
This comes after the retailer commissioned a recent survey of 2,000 Brits that revealed 85% say having manicured nails is important, with more than half (55%) calling it a monthly must-have and a loyal 5% splashing out up to £100 per set.
When it comes to festival season, according to the survey, nails matter just as much as your tent. 38% of festivalgoers said that bold nail art is a key part of their looks, with 26% willing to try 3D nail art to stand out in the fields.
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: "Festival season wouldn’t be complete without a fun manicure, and we wanted to offer some inspiration to Aldi-lovers who are looking to go all out with their next set, because who wouldn’t want Bramwell’s Baked Beans, Professor Peppy and Magnum Washing Up Liquid on their nails?"
For those wanting to rock Cuthbert on their cuticles, Aldi is giving fans the chance to win one of these limited-edition designs. All you have to do is email festivalnails@aldi.co.uk with your full name and favourite design by 26 June 2025.
