Digital beauty concierge Ruuby embarks on European expansion
UK-founded digital beauty concierge, Ruuby, has announced its expansion into the European market by launching in its first permanent international region, Zurich Switzerland.
Founded in London by Venetia Archer in 2016, Ruuby is a user-friendly platform for on-demand beauty services. Since its inception, Ruuby has delivered nearly 500,000 services across multiple categories, including hair, nails, massage, waxing, IV drips, and cosmetic injectables.
Following the successful trials with the South of France and Ruuby Ski in the French Alps in 2023 and 2024, the business has embarked on the next phase of growth.
Ruuby Switzerland is now available in Canton Zurich, Zug, Schwyz, Lucerne and Graubünden (St. Moritz) before further expanding to the Geneva region in 2025.
Venetia Archer, Ruuby Founder & CEO, said: "Switzerland marks an exciting step in Ruuby's expansion into the broader European market, in a region that is known for its appreciation of luxury and elevated consumer experiences. In addition to serving clients in their homes, Ruuby is partnering with luxury brands and hospitality groups across Switzerland, replicating our successful UK model."
Ruuby has appointed established entrepreneur Bianca Keyman, who is the Co-owner of Resilience Center in Zurich, as Head of Business Development across Switzerland.
Keyman commented: "I am delighted to set new and more dynamic service standards in the beauty & wellness industry in Switzerland. Ruuby is exactly what Switzerland lacked and needed. Above all, I am thrilled that the Swiss people will be able to access highest service standards in their homes."
The platform is launching in Switzerland massages, manicures and pedicures, makeup and hair styling. It will also be adding to its roster of corporate and hospitality partners, which include Gucci, Chanel, Bucherer, Claridges, Dr Barbara Sturm, and the Grace Hotel, St Moritz.
