Perfumer Diptyque has introduced a range of household cleaning products to compliment its existing selection of scented candles, perfumes and home decor.

Called La Droguerie, the new collection is an "invitation to care for the interior of your home, blending beauty with utility and sensual enjoyment with respect for the environment".

The household scent compositions were inspired by Diptyque’s perfuming expertise and include notes of fig trees and orange blossom, bouquets of basil or polished wood.

The range includes dishwashing liquid and an accompanying cleaning brush, multi-surface cleaner with vinegar, leather and wood care lotion, a ceramic oval for wool and delicate textiles, and an anti-odour candle with basil.

The liquid formulations of the range are 99% natural or of natural origin and biodegradable, and with the exception of the Anti-Odour Candle, all are accredited by Ecocert, a global specialist in the certification of sustainable practices.

The packaging is made of recycled glass and can be refilled easily from refill containers that are also recyclable. Each year these refills save an average of two tonnes of paper and ink.

The fragrances used for the range was created by Olivier Pescheux, a friend of the Maison Diptyque and are formulated using natural ingredients certified by Ecocert.

"Diptyque’s La Droguerie collection adds a fresh twist to tasks generally seen as domestic chores. Washing, cleaning, polishing, degreasing, shining, waxing, maintaining, grooming, protecting… these all suddenly becomes a joy," said the perfumer.

Prices start at £12 for a dish brush with the odour-removing candle retailing at £51.
