Diptyque’s Orphéon takes centre stage in Jazz-inspired store pop-up
Diptyque is presenting a new in-store activation that highlights the scents, sounds, and story of its fragrance Orphéon.
Running from 15 January to 14 April, the installation takes place at the brand’s Ephemeral Space within its New Bond Street flagship store and is presented in collaboration with Parisian record store Superfly Records.
Diptyque opened its flagship boutique at 107 New Bond Street in 2024, taking over a large three-story apartment with a new store concept, Maisons Diptyque.
Part boutique, part cultural space, the space blends the brand's emblematic creations with a range of artistic and cultural experiences, all housed in an architectural setting "reminiscent of the apartment of a Parisian aesthete".
The store’s Ephemeral Space transforms seasonally into immersive experiences, collaborations and art installations, with Orphéon as the latest takeover.
The activation aims to reflect the energy of the Paris jazz bar that inspired Orphéon - inviting visitors to explore the fragrance through a multi-sensory experience that combines scent and sound.
The scent is intended to capture the essence of the jazz club. Its composition includes cedar, referencing the warm wood of tables and counters; tonka bean, associated with light tobacco notes; juniper berries, suggestive of gin-based cocktails; and jasmine, intended to recall the perfumes worn by the club’s visitors.
