Disruptor London has secured the top spot on Good on You's new beauty sustainability scorecard, highlighting the benefits of effective, luxurious products without compromising on environmental responsibility.

Founded in 2021 by Sira Dheshan Naidu and Juan José Jiménez-Anca, Disruptor London challenges industry norms with its approach to sustainable personal care.

The brand develops multi-purpose products that combat overconsumption, with concentrated formulations that activate during use to address water scarcity concerns.

It is also plastic-free, vegan, upcycled, and boasts cruelty-free ingredients and packaging, as well as being locally manufactured in small batches to reduce carbon footprint.

"We're thrilled to receive this recognition from Good on You. It validates our mission to create products that put people and planet before profit," said Dheshan Naidu.

"This achievement is a testament to our dedication to sustainability and our drive to reshape the beauty narrative."

It comes as sustainability ratings platform Good On You enters the beauty category, helping to champion greater transparency in the industry.

The platform's expansion marks the first brand rating system for beauty that assesses key environmental, social, and animal welfare issues across the entire value chain.

Each beauty business is rated on hundreds of publicly available data points, which include disclosed policies and initiatives, quality certification schemes, and independent reporting to incentivise them to be more transparent.

To mark the release of the initial 200-plus ratings, Good On You launched the sustainability scorecard with insights on how the industry scores on timely sustainability issues.

Disruptor London is followed on the list by organic beauty brand Odylique, as well as UpCircle, Tropic Skincare, Pai Skincare, BYBI and Neal's Yard Remedies, amongst others.
