Dolce & Gabbana relaunches makeup range with 11 new products

Dolce & Gabbana has attempted to blend the quality and authentic spirit of its fashion identity with trends in cosmetics for the relaunch of its makeup category.

Designed and produced in Italy, the new Boundless Beauty collection is defined by innovation and research, as well as avant-garde active ingredients, to achieve "unprecedented sensory formulas and an impeccable makeup effect".

From a skin tint and mint lip oil to a multi-use palette and mascara, the luxury brand has introduced 11 new products under four looks: Fresh, Classic, Flawless and and Bold.

"Contemporary attitude, freedom of expression, impeccable performance: this is the soul of the new Makeup by Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, an ode to beauty, fashion and Italian style that now materialises in a completely new range of products that speak to everyone, no one excluded," reads a statement from Dolce & Gabbana.

The Fresh Look is described as the ideal choice for those who want to achieve glowing, fresh and energetic skin. Bolstered by makeup-skincare hybrid formulas, the line-up features a Lasting Makeup & Glow Enhancer, Hydra-glow & Fresh Skin Tint, Shine Control Blurring Powder and Flash Plumping Lip Oil.

Meanwhile, the timeless style of Dolce & Gabbana is said to be reflected in the Classic Look, achieved thanks to the collection's new Lasting Blush & Eyeshadow Powder and Lasting Bronzer & Eyeshadow Powder.

The synergy of three more beauty creations illuminates the Flawless Look, including an Oil Infused Soft-halo Powder, No Transfer Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick and 36H Extreme Volume & Lift Mascara.

Dolce & Gabbana has also developed the Bold Look, boasting two limited-edition products that take contemporary trends from the catwalk and transform them into edgy looks. It includes an Eyes & Cheeks Palette and That’s My Line! 24H Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner.

"From the effortless and skin-loving glow of the Fresh Look to the versatile elegance of the Classic Look, to the iconic appeal of the Flawless Look and the vibrant proposals of the Bold Look, the new Dolce & Gabbana Makeup offers the possibility to create infinite combinations, perfect for every mood and occasion," the brand said.

The collection of products is supported by a new Beauty Boutique at Harrods, with the opening coinciding with its launch today, 8 July.

It comes as more and more luxury brands invest in the beauty category. Estée Lauder Companies secured the beauty licence for Balmain in 2022 to collaboratively develop, produce and distribute a line of beauty products, while Kering is currently pushing into the beauty category to help brands such as Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen develop an expertise in beauty.

Dolce & Gabbana is also up against other luxury brands already operating in the beauty space, including Prada, Chanel, Dior, YSL and Armani.
