Dr. Barbara Sturm upgrades Super Anti-Aging Serum with NAD+ supporting technology
Dr. Barbara Sturm has unveiled an enhanced version of its Super Anti-Aging Serum, introducing "next-generation" bioactives and NAD+ supporting ingredients as the skincare brand continues its focus on skin longevity.
The new serum builds on the original formula, which has been part of Dr. Sturm’s Molecular Cosmetics collection since 2015. The reformulated product is designed to target what the brand describes as the key “hallmarks of skin youth”, including hydration, firmness, elasticity, plumpness and radiance.

At the centre of the new formula is Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), an antioxidant enzyme that helps neutralise free radicals and protect against oxidative stress. It is combined with Sunflower Sprout Extract, which the brand says supports the skin’s NAD+ levels. NAD+ is a molecule involved in cellular energy production and is increasingly being explored within the wider longevity space.
The formula also contains Dr. Sturm’s signature Biofermented Purslane, alongside Skullcap, Glutathione and Hyaluronic Acid. Together, the ingredients are intended to support skin resilience while addressing visible signs of ageing including fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture.
According to a clinical and instrumental study conducted by Dr. Barbara Sturm on 30 volunteers over 84 days, the serum delivered a 38% reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, alongside increases of 49% in radiance, 58% in smoothness, 180% in hydration and 29% in elasticity.
A separate consumer test of 30 volunteers found that 90% agreed their skin appeared more youthful, while 97% said their skin was smoother and 93% said it was hydrated and nourished.
Dr. Barbara Sturm said: “This new, enhanced formula – our multi-active serum concentrate – is clinically shown to reactivate all hallmarks of skin youth in three months. Enriched with intelligent antioxidants, NAD+ enhancers, and precision-formulated bio-actives, it visibly improves smoothness, firmness, and resilience over time, whilst maintaining the same signature texture.”
The launch builds on Dr. Sturm’s wider approach to skincare, which centres on molecular science and an anti-inflammatory philosophy. The German aesthetics doctor founded her skincare brand in 2014 after translating her medical research into products designed to support the skin’s natural functions.
The brand has continued to strengthen its UK presence this year, including a residency at Claridge’s spa in London’s Mayfair and a launch with health and wellness retailer Healf.
The Super Anti-Aging Serum is available from 3 September at Dr. Barbara Sturm’s website and its spas and boutiques. It is priced at £290 for 30ml and £100 for 10ml.
