DSM and Firmenich confirm leadership team for merger
DSM and Firmenich have announced the future leadership team for DSM-Firmenich, following the merger of the two companies.
The new company's Executive Committee will have a balanced team, drawn from both DSM and Firmenich. The existing executive management teams of DSM and Firmenich will remain unchanged until the completion of the merger, which is expected in the first half of 2023.
Geraldine Matchett and Dimitri de Vreeze have been appointed Co-CEOs. Currently the Co-CEOs of DSM, the duo will also continue to hold additional CFO and COO responsibilities at the combined company.
Emmanuel Butstraen has been named Chief Integration Officer, which will see him manage the merger of the two companies. Sarah Reisinger will lead DSM-Firmenich's science and technology across a global network of 15 R&D facilities.
DSM-Firmenich will have four complementary businesses across Perfumery & Beauty, Health, Nutrition & Care, Food & Beverage and Animal Nutrition & Health. Each will be led by a member of the future Executive Committee.
Perfumery & Beauty, incorporating Firmenich's Fragrance and Ingredients divisions and DSM's Personal Care & Aroma business, will be led by Ilaria Resta. Resta is currently Firmenich's President of Perfumery.
Health, Nutrition & Care will be led by Philip Eykerman, Food & Beverage by Patrick Niels and Animal Health & Nutrition by Ivo Lansbergen.
Firmenich's CEO, Gilbert Ghostine, will retire from his position upon completion of the merger.
