The Nostalgia Collection, The Nue Co 

The clever people at The Nue Co, a wellness brand whose products I covet to help me stay "balanced", have launched a trio of gourmand-inspired functional fragrances, rooted in neuroscience and designed to soothe the nervous system while awakening memories of comfort.

According to Spate, the market research experts, searches for gourmand fragrances are up approximately 77.5% year-over-year.

“There is a reason gourmand notes are so popular right now,” said Jules Miller, founder of The Nue Co. “Science shows that gourmand notes, our earliest scent memories, can reduce anxiety by up to 60% and that the scents we experience as newborns hold the strongest power of emotional recall. In an increasingly crowded market we wanted to reimagine the scent profile as something entirely new. Collaborating with Frank Voelkl, a master of woods and spice, allowed us to create something truly unique in the category - one that celebrates nostalgia while reinterpreting it for today.

The fragrances:

First Milk – Delicate and comforting, First Milk blends Almond Milk, Tonka Bean, and French Vanilla with a whisper of Pink Pepper. It dries down to a cocoon of Amber and Cashmere Woods. Sweet but never cloying, this SkinScent melts into the skin with a subtle, skin-close warmth.

Past Time – Past Time is abstract and enveloping. Amber Resin leads with a rich, smoky sweetness, deeper and darker than vanilla. Lifted by Rhubarb, Coconut Milk, Ambrette, Sandalwood, and Musk, it’s a scent that feels deeply personal. It lingers like a familiar thought at the edge of your mind - unnameable but deeply felt.

Otherwhere - Smells like skin, but better. Familiar yet ethereal. Grounding and comforting, notes of Caramel, Gentle Oud, Sandalwood, Cardamom, and Incense create a fragrance reminiscent of the past but grounded in the present.

The fragrances are non-toxic, 100% vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and hexane-free.

Les 4 Ombres Boutons Palette, Chanel 

Did you know that no Chanel button is ever the same? That playful attention to detail is exactly what makes the new Les 4 Ombres Boutons palette so irresistible. Harry Potter-inspired collection, ROJA London

Like wizardry, perfume harnesses mystery with mastery: each note possesses its own unique power, and when blended, enchanting stories unfold. And as someone about to begin their annual Harry Potter marathon, I’m especially intrigued by this launch.

Imbued with ROJA London’s sense of British luxury, the house introduces two Harry Potter-inspired limited-editions in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP).

The first, Harry Potter Burlington 1819 Limited-Edition (50ml £225, 100ml £375) is reimagined as a tribute to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Blending British fragrance-making with fantasy, this exclusive scent opens with sparkling grapefruit, ginger, and tobacco, transporting the wearer to a world of magic and adventure.

Complementing this, the Harry Potter The Art Collection Travel Set Limited-Edition (4 x 10ml travel sprays £210) explores the essence of each Hogwarts house through ingredients inspired by ROJA’s signature fragrances. The collection includes four compositions: Hufflepuff, blends chamomile, magnolia, and tea to reflect "loyalty, patience, and kindness"; Slytherin, combines sandalwood, orange blossom, and rose to embody "ambition, intellect, and elegance"; Ravenclaw, pairs rose, moss, and carrot seed for an "earthy, ethereal reflection of wisdom and curiosity"; and Gryffindor, unites patchouli, amber, and vanilla to capture "fiery courage and noble heart".

Rose Quartz Anti-Sensitivity Dental Polish, Mahsa

I am nothing short of obsessed with oral hygiene and I approach it with as much rigour as I do my skincare routine these days. Also, as with my skin, my teeth are sensitive, so I face the challenge of wanting to give them a thorough clean without discomfort.

This new launch in the Mahsa range of elevated oral care products, devised by distinguished dentist Dr Mahsa Nejati, is perfect for me. The Rose Quartz Anti-Sensitivity Dental Polish is a “sensorial daily ritual” designed to soothe sensitivity while restoring brilliance to your smile.

Inspired by the healing power of rose quartz, this luxurious polish is formulated with potassium nitrate to calm sensitive nerves by gently blocking the tiny tubules in the dentin, shielding teeth from discomfort caused by hot, cold, or sweet foods and drinks. And yes, I had to Google tubules - they are microscopic channels within the dentin layer of a tooth that run from the pulp to the enamel. I may not have known exactly what they are, but I do know what it feels like when they are on edge!
