From Color Wow's scalp treatment to Birkenstock's foot care range, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Youth Juice Collagen Scalp Treatment, Color Wow

After coming to the realisation that my collagen production has officially slowed, I am on the hunt to get my collagen fix. With my birthday creeping up on me this week (another painful reminder of my loss of collagen!) Color Wow's Youth Juice Collagen Scalp Treatment (£44) came into my life at a more perfect time.

Already a big fan of Color Wow’s Money mask (which infuses hair with a heavy dose of hydration), I had high hopes for Youth Juice. The breakthrough product was formulated by Color Wow’s renowned chemist, Dr. Joe Cincotta. His latest innovation was developed to keep hair in its prime - youthfully thick, strong and supple. But how? This power-packed serum helps preserve, protect and promote collagen, which is critical to maintaining and improving your strands.

According to clinical trials, Youth Juice is clinically proven to reduce shedding by up to 90%. In other words, my hoover can finally have a day off.

Dr. Cincotta said: "Our extensive research confirms the direct correlation between diminished scalp collagen and diminished quality of the hair strands being produced in the hair follicles. As scalp collagen degrades (from chronological ageing or free radical damage) hair follicles shrink and become rigid, and the strands being produced become finer, brittle, less supple and resilient. Also, the follicles’ grasp on strands is weakened, leading to increased shedding and hair thinning."

Birkenstock

Care Essentials, Birkenstock

Trending footwear brand Birkenstock is launching a new range of six foot care products, promising a "harmonious blend of active regeneration and luxurious indulgence".

Building upon its long-standing heritage of orthopaedic expertise, the collection marks the latest innovation to complete the brand's 360° approach to foot health. From nourishing creams to invigorating scrubs, the formulations and sensorial textures are designed to address common foot concerns while "indulging the senses".

Crafted from natural essential oils, each product also boasts delicate notes, from cedarwood and patchouli to blood orange and cypress, petitgrain and bergamot, and more. Meanwhile, the packaging is designed with simplicity in mind, with the collection's tubes and glass bottles made from 100% recycled aluminium and 100% recyclable glass.

The full product line-up includes a Smoothing Pumice Stone, Exfoliating Foot Scrub, Nourishing Foot Balm, Relief Lotion Tired Leg & Foot, Comforting Dry Oil, and Relaxing Bath Salts. Priced between £9.50-32.50.

Dr PAWPAW

New stick format, Dr.PAWPAW

Does anyone else hate getting their hands dirty? I don’t mean figuratively—I’m as happy to roll up a proverbial sleeve and get stuck in as the next woman, but I find the feeling of having unclean hands fairly distressing. I get through soap at an alarming rate.

Next to my bed is an enormous (and seemingly never-ending) tube of Dr.PAWPAW Original Balm, which I have applied religiously each night for the last two years. So I was thrilled when Dr.PAWPAW launched a stick iteration of its cruelty free, vegan balms this week for when I’m not in close proximity to a sink.

So you really can have it all: clean hands and hydrated lips simultaneously. You heard it here first.

Lotus & Rambutan range, Spa Ceylon

Spa Ceylon offers a range of natural and cruelty-free wellbeing rituals made with powerful Ayurveda "Wonder Herbs" for mind, body and soul. Its latest range, Lotus & Rambutan, feeds into this nicely by providing "comforting care" for sensitive skin.

Alongside a blend of Ayurveda Wonder Herbs, the new collection is infused with soothing lotus leaf active cell extract, mild retinol-like action of rambutan leaf extract, nourishing vitamin B12, calming kava lava root, and hydrating hyaluronic acid to soothe, nourish and protect skin. It certainly sounds appealing!

The product line-up boasts a Facial Cleansing Foam, Gentle Exfoliating Masque, Treatment Milk Serum, Ultra-Hydrating Day & Night Treatment, and Day Facial Protector, forming the perfect routine - with 89% of users seeing visible results in 2-3 weeks.

Priced between £18-27, the Lotus & Rambutan range is available online at Spa Ceylon.

Manicurist

Manicurist Green System

I'm still in a bad mood about a gel manicure that went wrong over the summer. The product wouldn't set properly under the UV lamp (I think too much was applied) and so the therapist decided to file it all off and start again, despite my concerns that her overzealous scrubbing would wreck my nails. She assured me it would not, but she was wrong. My nails were a wafer thin disaster after that and I've sworn off gel manicures for the time being.

Thank the Lord then for Manicurist's new Green System Discovery Kit. The French nail experts promise seven days of salon-like finish that also treats and cares for your nails and the surrounding skin. And there's no need for a UV lamp. (Manicurist do have products for use with a UV lamp that said and I am assured these are great; I will try these another time).

Meanwhile, contained in each of these Green System kits are five products for the perfect professional manicure. You start with the new Nail Prep which removes any traces of dirt and oil from your nails (you can also use it to clean your brushes and tools), then add the base coat, followed by your preferred colour. I've gone for a beautiful natural pink called Hortencia. (I only ever have my nails done dark red, bright red or pale pink - boring, I know, but am set in my ways now!).

All of this is topped off with Sunshine glossy top coat and, crucially, the new Hydrating Drying Drops to breathe new life into my poor, abused nails. The Green reference in the title relates to the fact that Manicurist products are all made from a high percentage of plant-based ingredients, so they are not just kind to your nails but the planet too.

I shall be sticking with this and avoiding the gel nails for the time being. Merci Manicurist.

Available now priced at £49 for the set (value of the separate items £66).
